There will be two intimate Midnight Sessions held at Puke Ariki on Thursday 12, Friday 13 Augusts at midnight.  Tickets for the midnight sessions are extremely limited with only 300 available each night.  With the audience situated just metres away from the artist it will be a very special experience.

It’s True! David Gilmour & Roger Waters performed together including a version of Wish You Were Here at the Hoping Foundation Benefit Evening on Saturday 10 July. Guy Pratt was also on stage.

The tracks performed were: To Know Him Is To Love Him, Wish You Were Here, Comfortably Numb, and Another Brick in the Wall (Part …2). The band consisted of David, Roger, Guy Pratt (bass and acoustic guitar), Harry Waters (keyboards), Andy Newmark (drums), Chester Kamen (guitar) and Jonjo Grisdale (keyboards).

Pink Floyd’s bassist returns for the first time since his 2007 Edinburgh sell-out run to regale us with more hilarious tales from the mini bar and the absurdities of life on the road for the touring musician.

It is hosted by internationally renowned musician and comedian Guy Pratt, whose thirty-odd years spent living in the area seems to make him think he has the right to front something like this.

£10 admission in aid of Fairtunes.org includes a free cocktail sponsored by Martin Miller’s Gin served between 7pm and 8pm. Donations will be taken for the charity during this first hour.

That’s right..Guy’s first band has a live album coming out!
What can we say about Speedball that hasn’t been said before?

One of the few Mod bands that haven’t had the “DETOUR” treatment…
Finally we are proud to announce a full length CD release from Southend’s finest MOD band.
Starting off life as “IDIOT”, but after a false start the band re-grouped from a four piece down to a three piece and started playing all the local haunts. Then after a few choice gigs, London beckoned! The band realised they had found their audience and built up a loyal following of up and coming parka clad fans from the newly formed Mod phenomenon that was sweeping the country… From 1979 to 1981 the band played their hearts out to packed venues.

In this period, the band released one cult status single on local ‘ No Pap’ label which has now become quite a collectable single. Sadly the band imploded in 1981, Rob the main song writer ended up emigrating to downunder, Dave the drummer sadly died a few years ago from cancer and Guy, as we know, has been playing with Pink Floyd for the last 15 years.

This brilliant and over due release features both sides of the single, unreleased studio tracks and choice live tracks.
